Haunting Electro Horror music from award winning Horror producer Sam Haynes. Sam Haynes is a horror musician from London, UK and has composed music for theme parks, haunts and horror movies. His music is inspired by 70's and 80s horror movie soundtracks.
Review of the new CD from MrFrights.com:
That’s right, it’s so SCARY that you’ll need your blankie to keep you safe! I doubt it will help though. So probably don’t listen to this in the dark, at night, during a storm… in fact you should probably just listen to this on bright sunny days with lots of people around. That is unless you’re daring enough to try and prove yourself.
Sam Haynes’ new CD is out for digital download Monday April 7th via bandcamp with iTunes and Amazon to follow shortly after. ‘Ghost Stories’ is a 15 track collection of music for horror movies and Halloween haunts. The album will be available on Bandcamp from Monday, in limited edition deluxe cassette bag with badges, stickers, and keyrings as well as digital download with bonus tracks.
As I listen to Sam’s new album I can’t help but think of Killer Klowns from Outter Space, but from a 90′s point of view. The past influences of the 80′s are not completely gone here, but it’s like ‘Ghost Stories’ is a more mature version of Sam Haynes’ music. Not all the music is like that though, there’s a majority of sounds that remind me of some kind of creepy asylum. Of course this is from my perspective of having just come off of playing ‘Thief’ in which there’s a whole segment of the game with a creep-ass asylum.
The point is, Sam Haynes has done it again with this music that just digs into your bones and gives you chills. I could absolutely see this being used in soundtracks for movies, games, and of course its intended purpose… haunts. This album would certainly dial up the tension in the air as people wonder through your horrible attraction in honor of Halloween. So, one way or another, don’t miss out on this new Horror Managerie from Sam Haynes. ‘Ghost Stories’ is a creepy ride through a hellish mental landscape set up by Haynes himself. You’ll be sorry you don’t own this!

'Remarkable, an unexpected masterpiece' UKHorrorScene.com
'It’s probably fair to say that this is what we want all our Halloween CDs to sound like.' Mr.Frights

'an eclectic mix of electronic based music to frighten, story tell and creep out' Dr Terrors blog of horrors
Haynes places his emphasis on the more cinematic, atmospheric elements (calling to mind another FEARnet fave, Midnight Syndicate), then builds a beat-based repertoire on that foundation. The results will feel right at home in the foggy, cobwebbed corridors of a Halloween attraction, but also command your attention as groovy stand-alone works... - FEARnet
